Our history

Karmapatra was not made in 1 day or a month it’s a journey of long 9 years. Its roots can be found way back in 2015 where I Akash Garg who was studying in ICFAI Business School, Pune choose to be an entrepreneur to start a educational social media company Named curious 18 which was renamed as shiksha saarthi with An app developer VR Deepak and a team of 20 people where people can share educational resources and teach online in groups without sharing their contact numbers. We did this to remove coaching system which comes with heavy fees burden and which should be removed from shoulders of every parent. We invested 5-6 lakh savings and from friends and family. We also created student discount card from various book stores and stationeries as well as clothing and grooming stores so that a community system is formed and users can save money from that. We were able to run this system for 2 years till 2017 till my bank account lasts 10000rs and we were totally in loss as no investor or government officials want to invest in this free to use system which can create a bigger impact on society. Me and Deepak stopped there as we understood this journey cannot be continue without money and to create something for people we need help of people as we has to involve them directly.

I came back to Indore and started Printhappily, a customized printing business where I manufactured raw material for customized printing and trained people in how to operate machinery for Printing. I restarted by taking family loan of 1 lakh rupees. I have created almost 200+ entrepreneurs in tier 2 and tier 3 cities and help them in starting their printing journey. Along with that I did not led die my idea to change the system, as I felt we are getting looted at every section of society. I restarted thinking about making a new way to create community based resource sharing economy that will not depend on anyone else for their needs. I invested my 5 years in recreating plan for karmapatra and researched each and every field of economy from solar, battery tech,AI,milk production, sustainable housing,fmcg,production,operations,NGO’s etc to create this vast plan of karma project,karmasetu and project humanity.

I also Joined rotary international as a secretary in one of the Indore chapter –Vinayakam and learned a lot about situation of Orphans and old age ashrams & their issues. I ran Printing business for 5 years and arranged some money to restart this project again as Karmapatra foundation. Meanwhile as I got married in 2018 With Kirti agrawal so I has to earn and can’t give full time to my idea as I have to take care of family expenses. My wife who was too much inclined towards financial safety and she worried about our future and child, but after convincing her and my family I started full time working in project from December 2023 and asked for 1 year support to fulfill my dream. I explained them entire project in detail and what is importance of that in today’s society and finally they agreed to support me and stand with me for this work. Today karmapatra is connecting with people and reaching towards its first cluster. Covid has brought so much insights and teachings in my life and opened eyes as people show their best and worst in this time. All medical stores and pharma company has earned a lot, very few tilted towards humanity and really helped people. But it showed us that we really need a community who care for its people and has its own resources and means of production.
